Oklahoma SB1203 provides paid maternity and adoption leave for certain education employees.

Oklahoma SB1203 amends existing statutes to provide paid maternity and adoption leave for eligible education employees. Full-time teachers, correctional teachers, vocational instructors, and other specified education employees are entitled to paid leave following childbirth or adoption. The bill creates revolving funds to reimburse school districts and other agencies for expenses related to providing this leave. Eligible employees include those who have worked at least 1,250 hours in the preceding twelve months. The leave is in addition to sick leave and other benefits.
