Oklahoma SB1201 extends paid maternity and adoption leave for education employees.

Oklahoma SB1201 amends existing law to extend paid maternity and adoption leave for eligible education employees. Eligible employees include those in school districts, the Department of Corrections, and the State Department of Rehabilitation Services. These employees can use up to twelve weeks of paid leave following childbirth or adoption. The bill also modifies the name and purpose of the revolving fund used to reimburse school districts for these expenses. The changes are set to take effect July 1, 2026.
