Oklahoma SB1070, known as Kenny's Law, creates a new section of law requiring gates to remain closed at all times to contain livestock. Exceptions are allowed for maintenance, livestock movement, or authorized access by livestock owners, utility companies, municipalities, or state or federal agencies. Violations are misdemeanors punishable by fines up to $1,000 per year per offense, or by both fine and imprisonment. The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry will implement the law, which becomes effective November 1, 2025.
