Oklahoma SB1059 mandates county maintenance for certain cemeteries and allows charging for services.

Oklahoma SB1059 amends Section 143 of Title 8 to require county maintenance for publicly owned cemeteries and those with a documented tribal burial presence. County commissioners can use county resources for opening and closing graves and maintaining these cemeteries. A reasonable fee, not exceeding the actual cost, can be charged for these services.
