Oklahoma SB1040 amends the Oklahoma Board of Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors by removing certain limitations on appointees. The bill allows the Governor to consider recommendations from a statewide organization representing alcohol and drug counselors, a state chapter of a national organization, or the spouse of a licensed or certified alcohol and drug counselor. The Board will consist of seven members, with six being licensed alcohol and drug counselors and one being certified. The Governor appoints members from lists submitted by various associations.
