Oklahoma SB1037 removes certain limitations on appointees to the State Board of Pharmacy and allows the Governor to consider recommendations.

Oklahoma SB1037 amends the State Board of Pharmacy's appointment process by removing certain limitations on appointees. The bill allows the Governor to consider recommendations from a statewide organization representing pharmacists or a state chapter of a national organization. It also updates statutory language and specifies that pharmacist members must be registered and in good standing in Oklahoma for at least five years. The public member of the Board serves at the pleasure of the Governor and has a term coterminous with the Governor.
