Oklahoma SB1001 modifies advertising expense regulations for public utilities, specifically prohibiting certain advertising from being included in ratemaking. The bill amends 17 O.S. 2021, Section 180.1, to clarify that advertising expenses are not to be included in operating expenses for ratemaking purposes. This includes advertising strictly limited to energy conservation and education, customer instructions on telephone service features, and information promoting efficient use of the telephone network. The act becomes effective November 1, 2025.
