HB4277

Oklahoma HB4277 grants school districts exclusive control over school facilities and modifies eligibility rules for student athletes.

Oklahoma HB4277 provides school districts with exclusive control over school facilities, including athletic fields and gymnasiums. It also changes the eligibility rules for student athletes transferring to a new school district. Students transferring to a district must sit out one year of competition unless they qualify for an emergency transfer, a transfer before January 1, 2000, or a hardship waiver. The bill removes automatic ineligibility for transfers and requires a determination of a rule violation for ineligibility.
