Int Text

Oklahoma HB4262 provides annual bonuses for teachers with National Board certification and removes salary increments for such certification.

Oklahoma HB4262 amends the Education Leadership Oklahoma program to provide annual bonuses of $5,000 for teachers with National Board certification. The bonuses are available for ten years to teachers who attained certification before July 1, 2026, and for the remaining duration of their certification if they attained it after June 30, 2013. The bonuses are funded by state lottery dollars and paid directly to eligible teachers through school districts. The bill also removes the additional salary increment for National Board certification from the minimum salary schedule.
