Expands eligibility for paid maternity leave to school employees in Oklahoma.

This bill expands eligibility for paid maternity leave to school employees in Oklahoma. It allows full-time employees of public school districts, technology center school districts, and correctional teachers or vocational instructors employed by the Department of Corrections to qualify for six weeks of paid maternity leave. The leave is in addition to any sick leave due to pregnancy. The bill also mandates that the Legislature appropriate adequate funding for this leave, and if not, the State Board of Education must allocate funds to cover it.
