Oklahoma HB3901 creates a pilot psychological autopsy service to reconstruct the mental state, perspectives, and motivations of deceased individuals. The Commissioner of Health will appoint a full-time psychological autopsy examiner to coordinate with the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The pilot program will terminate no later than November 1, 2031, with a recommendation for its permanency or closure to be made by the State Board of Health.
