Int Text

Oklahoma HB3550 proposes automatic annual adjustments to the minimum teacher salary schedule based on the Consumer Price Index.

Oklahoma HB3550 amends the minimum salary schedule for teachers, authorizing annual automatic adjustments based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI). The State Board of Education will determine the amount of increase each year, starting with the 2026-2027 school year. If the CPI for the most recent calendar year exceeds the CPI for 2025, the minimum salary schedule will be adjusted accordingly. No adjustment will be made if there is a decline in the CPI.
