Introduced·2/2/26
Int Text

Oklahoma HB3181 removes the prohibition on certain types of ammunition under the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act.

Oklahoma HB3181 amends the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act by deleting the prohibition on certain types of ammunition. Specifically, it removes the restriction on ammunition that is either a restricted bullet as defined by Section 1289.19 of Title 21 or is larger than .45 caliber or otherwise prohibited by law. This change means that such ammunition can now be legally carried with a concealed or unconcealed handgun when authorized by the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act. The act will become effective on November 1, 2026.
