Expands zone of safety to include certain recreational areas and prohibits certain offenders from entering.

Oklahoma HB3040 expands the zone of safety to include pools, arcades, amusement parks, and water parks. It prohibits individuals convicted of sex offenses or offenses that would be punishable as such in Oklahoma from entering these areas. The law also requires registered sex offenders to inform school or child care center administrators of their status before entering the zone of safety for school-related activities. The act becomes effective November 1, 2026.
