Oklahoma HB2993 creates the Rural Law Enforcement Grant Fund Act, which directs the Attorney General to distribute grant funds to rural law enforcement agencies. The fund supports purchases, construction projects, maintenance, repairs, operations, and insurance premiums for rural law enforcement officers. The Office of the Attorney General notifies rural law enforcement coordinators of available funds by August 1 each year. Coordinators determine the needs of participants, which must include municipalities with populations of 10,000 or less.
