Oklahoma HB2987 amends education standards review process, disapproving standards if Legislature fails to act.

Oklahoma HB2987 amends the legislative review process for subject matter standards adopted by the State Board of Education. The standards cannot be implemented until reviewed by the Legislature. If the Legislature fails to adopt a joint resolution within 30 days, the standards are deemed approved. If disapproved, the State Board can adopt new standards for review. The act becomes effective November 1, 2026.
