Oklahoma HB2980 amends the state's motor vehicle registration law to allow licensed operators to accept various forms of insurance verification. This includes physical proof of insurance, verification from a licensed insurance producer, or customer service representative. Fleet vehicles, licensed taxicabs, and vehicles owned by licensed used motor vehicle dealers are exempt from certain requirements. The act also authorizes a fee of $1.50 for processing proof of financial responsibility and driver license information. The changes will take effect on November 1, 2026.
