Oklahoma HB2969 requires the Oklahoma Health Care Authority to include an attestation of immigration status on every Medicaid application. This attestation, a self-certification under penalty of perjury, must be included when hospitals or other health care providers make presumptive eligibility determinations for Medicaid or SoonerCare. The bill also mandates that illegal aliens be referred to the appropriate federal authority. The provisions are set to be codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 4030 of Title 56.
