Oklahoma HB2957 amends 36 O.S. 2021, Section 3629, to clarify the procedure for property insurance claims and proof of loss. Insurers must furnish forms for proof of loss upon request but are not responsible for the completion of such forms. Insurers must submit a written offer of settlement or rejection of the claim within 60 days of receiving proof of loss. For property insurance claims, costs and attorney fees are not allowable to the prevailing party, and the court shall not add interest on the verdict. The act becomes effective November 1, 2026.
