Oklahoma HB2943 amends the Oklahoma Discovery Code to authorize protective orders for high-ranking officers of government entities or other public or private organizations. The bill allows courts to issue protective orders if the officer has unique and extensive scheduling demands or responsibilities and lacks unique personal knowledge of the issues being litigated. The court may also limit the scope of the deposition if the officer lacks unique personal knowledge of some, but fewer than all, matters relevant to the subject matter involved in the pending action.
