HB2922

Oklahoma HB2922 amends death certificate correction rules and extends the time limit for corrections.

Oklahoma HB2922 modifies the rules for amending death certificates, allowing corrections to be made for errors such as misspellings or scrivener's errors, excluding medical certification information. It also extends the time limit for making corrections from 60 to 180 days. The Commissioner of Health must amend the record if a written or electronic request is submitted with supporting documentation. The bill also addresses amendments to birth certificates, including changes to reflect paternity and new names, and mandates rules for handling false parent identity information.
