Oklahoma HB2234 amends the Massage Therapy Practice Act by authorizing the State Board of Cosmetology and Barbering to adopt rules for the implementation and enforcement of the Act. It establishes an Oversight Committee on Massage Therapy, consisting of three to five members selected by the Advisory Board on Massage Therapy, to oversee formal complaints, investigations, and hearings for violations. The Act sets a $25 fee for initial massage therapy licenses issued before May 1, 2017, and a $50 annual fee for licenses issued after that date, with a $10 fee for duplicate licenses.
