Oklahoma HB1944 requires public secondary schools to assign grade levels to students based on earned course credits. Students with zero to six credits are classified as freshmen, and so on. Students who do not meet the credit requirements for advancement remain in their current grade level. Report cards must include the number of earned credits, the grade level based on credits, and the anticipated graduation date. The act becomes effective July 1, 2025, and is declared an emergency for the preservation of public peace, health, or safety.
