Oklahoma HB1678 amends election procedures for tie votes in primary and general elections.

Oklahoma HB1678 modifies the process for handling tie votes in primary and general elections. If a tie vote is certified, the election board will select the nominee by lot in a public meeting. The names of tied candidates will be written on equal-sized pieces of paper, folded, and placed in a container. The selection will be made by the board secretary or a designated person. This act becomes effective November 1, 2025.
