Oklahoma HB1580 provides income tax credits for builders constructing energy efficient residential properties.

Oklahoma HB1580 introduces income tax credits for builders who construct eligible energy efficient residential properties. The bill defines "eligible energy efficient residential property" as a newly constructed residential property completed on or after January 1, 2026. Builders can claim credits for properties certified under the United States Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star Homes program and the United States Department of Energy's Zero Energy Ready Homes program. Credits can be carried over for up to four years if unused, and can be transferred.
