Oklahoma HB1492 modifies voter registration and updates the process for automated text message reminders for elections.

Oklahoma HB1492 amends the voter registration process by automatically registering applicants interacting with Service Oklahoma for driver licenses or state identification cards. It also offers applicants the option to sign up for automated text message reminders for upcoming elections sent by the State Election Board. Service Oklahoma will share phone information with the State Election Board, which will notify applicants when their phone information has been received and registered for text reminders. The State Election Board will then send automated text reminders.
