Oklahoma HB1406 modifies sales tax exemptions to include spouses and guardians of disabled veterans. The bill specifies that sales for the benefit of an eligible person to a spouse or guardian, or to a member of the household authorized to make purchases on the person's behalf, are exempt from sales tax. The Oklahoma Tax Commission is required to issue a separate exemption card to the spouse or guardian. The bill also includes various other sales tax exemptions, such as for prosthetic devices, certain telecommunications services, and sales to tax-exempt organizations.
