Oklahoma HB1240 establishes that elected state officials can visit Department of Corrections facilities without prior notification, effective November 1, 2025. The Department must ensure these visits do not compromise safety and security. This bill codifies the new right in Oklahoma Statutes as Section 509.7 of Title 57.
