Oklahoma HB1054 amends the State Board of Education's composition and appointment process. The State Superintendent of Public Instruction remains a member and chair, while the remaining six members are appointed by the Speaker of the House, the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, and the Governor, each making two appointments. Members must complete new board member workshops within 13 months.
