This measure creates new term limits for North Dakota's governor, lieutenant governor, and statewide elected officials, including the agriculture commissioner, attorney general, auditor, insurance commissioner, public service commissioner, secretary of state, superintendent of public instruction, tax commissioner, and treasurer. An individual may not be elected more than three times to any of these positions. The measure also limits members of the legislative assembly, specifically the house of representatives and the senate, to three terms each.
