Establishes a safety buffer around first responders while they perform their duties.

The Honoring and Listening to Our Officers (HALO) Law creates a safety buffer around first responders in North Carolina. It prohibits approaching or remaining within 25 feet of a first responder with intent to impede their duties, threaten them, or harass them after receiving a warning.
