North Carolina S968 directs NCSU to study establishing a new veterinary medicine college in the state.

North Carolina S968 mandates the Board of Trustees of North Carolina State University to investigate the feasibility and advisability of creating a new college of veterinary medicine at another institution in North Carolina. The study will consider the need for additional veterinarians, the costs and benefits of establishing a new college, and suitable locations. The Board must report its findings to the Joint Legislative Education Oversight Committee by March 15, 2027. The bill allocates $300,000 in nonrecurring funds for the study.
