Modifies Cherokee County occupancy tax to promote travel and tourism.

The bill modifies the Cherokee County occupancy tax to promote travel and tourism. It establishes a Cherokee County Tourism Development Authority to manage the tax proceeds. The Authority will use two-thirds of the net proceeds for tourist-related events and activities, and the remainder for tourism-related capital projects. The Authority will be composed of seven members appointed by the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners. The bill also sets term limits for Authority members and requires quarterly and annual reports on receipts and disbursements.
