The bill allows public school students to attend courses in religious moral instruction during the instructional day. The governing body of a public school unit may adopt a policy to allow students to attend these courses for at least one but no more than five hours per week. The policy must require parental consent, and students assume responsibility for any missed schoolwork. The sponsoring entity must maintain attendance records and provide a syllabus upon request.
