Streamlines adult care home inspections in North Carolina by allowing inspections done by the state to be accepted by other entities.
North Carolina S863 aims to streamline the inspection process for adult care homes by allowing inspections conducted by the Adult Care Licensure Section of the Division of Health Service Regulation to be accepted by other state or local entities. If an adult care home passes an inspection within three months before a similar inspection by another entity, the passing results can be accepted as if the other entity had conducted its own inspection. The bill also appropriates $100,000 for streamlining efforts, effective from October 1, 2026.
