North Carolina S77 allows parents to choose a nurse for their child's required nursing services under an Individualized Education Program.

North Carolina S77 permits parents to select a nurse for their child's required nursing services if the child's Individualized Education Program mandates such services, the child previously received services from the nurse, and the nurse is employed by a willing agency meeting standard contract terms. The contracted rate must be equal to or less than the rate of other nurses contracted by the local educational agency. This act applies starting with the 2025-2026 school year.
