This bill grants the City of Hendersonville authority to operate public enterprises and mandates the transfer of assets to a separate fund.

The bill provides the City of Hendersonville with the authority to acquire, construct, establish, enlarge, improve, maintain, own, operate, and contract for the operation of public enterprises. It mandates the transfer of any assets, liabilities, or equity of a public enterprise to a separate fund in accordance with G.S. 160A-312. The act applies to the 2025-2026 fiscal year and to petitions for annexation received on or after June 30, 2025.
