North Carolina S670 amends state law to prohibit the purchase of small, unmanned aircraft systems by the state or its political subdivisions from certain foreign vendors. The bill defines "covered foreign entity" as those on the U.S. Consolidated Screening List or Entity List, those domiciled in China or Russia, those under the influence or control of the Chinese or Russian government, and those affiliated with such entities. The prohibition takes effect July 1, 2027.
