Establishes the North Carolina Mental Health and Psychedelic Medicine Task Force to study psychedelic medicine for mental health.
The North Carolina Mental Health and Psychedelic Medicine Task Force will assess the potential use of psychedelic medicine in addressing the State's ongoing mental health crisis. The Task Force will consider barriers to implementation, equitable access, licensing and insurance requirements, and legal and regulatory pathways for legalization. The Task Force will submit a final report to the General Assembly by December 1, 2026.
