The bill establishes a Task Force on Missing Women and Girls who are Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) to address systemic issues and improve safety. The Task Force will develop policy changes, advance community knowledge, and ensure education and training on prevention. It will identify major traffic hubs, highways, and resource extraction sites responsible for missing BIPOC women and girls. The Task Force will also create a Statewide awareness campaign and recommend preventive programming. The Task Force will terminate three years after the effective date of this act.
