North Carolina S505 addresses abandoned and derelict vessels in state waters and on land.

North Carolina S505 establishes regulations for abandoned and derelict vessels in state waters and on land. It prohibits vessels from being left unattended in state waters or on land for more than 30 days without permission. The owner and operator are jointly responsible for securing the vessel to prevent damage. If the owner fails to respond to a notice or abate the violation within 10 days, the Commission may relocate or remove the vessel.
