The bill establishes automatic voter registration procedures in North Carolina. Beginning January 1, 2026, the Division of Motor Vehicles will allow eligible individuals to register to vote when applying for or renewing a driver's license. Starting January 1, 2027, state colleges and universities, as well as community colleges, will offer automatic voter registration to students.
