North Carolina S341 allocates $2.45 million from the General Fund for Siler City's downtown streetscape project. The funds, to be managed by the Office of State Budget and Management, will be used in two phases. Phase 1 includes $2 million for running underground power lines and widening sidewalks for outside dining along Chatham Avenue. Phase 2 involves $450,000 for implementing design plans and hiring a main street coordinator. The act becomes effective July 1, 2025.
