North Carolina S338, the Farmland and Military Protection Act, prohibits adversarial foreign governments from purchasing, acquiring, leasing, or holding any interest in agricultural land and land within a 25-mile radius of military installations. The act defines adversarial foreign governments as those designated by the U.S. Department of Commerce for engaging in conduct significantly adverse to U.S. national security. Any transfer in violation of this act is void.
