North Carolina S244 makes inciting or engaging in a riot to overthrow the government a Class F felony.

North Carolina S244 amends the state's penal code to classify as a Class F felony any act of engaging in or inciting a riot that includes an attempt to overthrow the government of the United States, North Carolina, or any political subdivision. This law applies to offenses committed on or after December 1, 2025.
