North Carolina S241 provides $3.5 million in nonrecurring funds for the 2025-2026 fiscal year to renovate the Smith Reynolds Airport Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) hangar. The funds will be used for structural repairs, modernization, HVAC upgrades, and infrastructure enhancements. The Division of Aviation must submit quarterly reports on the use of funds to the Joint Legislative Transportation Oversight Committee and the Fiscal Research Division. The act becomes effective July 1, 2025.
