North Carolina S122 enacts the Uniform Community Property Disposition at Death Act.

North Carolina S122 enacts the Uniform Community Property Disposition at Death Act, which governs the disposition of community property upon the death of a spouse. The act presumes community property applies to all property acquired by a community-property spouse when domiciled in a jurisdiction where such property is presumed to be community property. One-half of the property belongs to the surviving community-property spouse and is not subject to disposition by the decedent at death, while the other half belongs to the decedent and is subject to disposition.
