North Carolina S120 provides labor organizations with the right to enter into labor agreements and removes restrictions on labor organizing by public employees. It prohibits employers from requiring union membership or payments as conditions of employment or continuation of employment. It also allows individuals denied employment or deprived of continuation of employment due to these practices to recover damages. The act applies to contracts entered into after its effective date and to any renewal or extension of existing contracts.
