Moratorium on new coastal fishing regulations pending review of Collaboratory Study.

This bill imposes a moratorium on new or expanded restrictions on commercial and recreational fishing in North Carolina's coastal waters until the North Carolina Collaboratory Study on coastal and marine fisheries is fully reviewed and implemented by the General Assembly. It prohibits state marine fisheries agencies from imposing new or expanded restrictions, including reductions in bag limits, size limits, or trip limits, shortening or closing fishing seasons, and additional reporting or monitoring requirements.
