Henry's Law mandates dentists to report adverse events to the North Carolina Board of Dental Examiners and directs a study on anesthesia provider.

Henry's Law requires dentists with permits to administer general anesthesia or sedation to report adverse events to the North Carolina Board of Dental Examiners. Adverse events include patient deaths, permanent organic brain dysfunction, or hospital admissions within 24 hours of sedation or anesthesia. Dentists must cease administering sedation or anesthesia until the Board approves resumption of permit privileges.
